| News letter Vol. 10, Issue 2 from Mac’s Modeling LLC 04/10/2014
We have added a new page to website for TOOLS. We did have some on the website before, but no one really knew they were there, so now a page is dedicated to them, and we will be adding more as we go along. The selection is based on my own personal likes for particular tools, and customer recommendations. We want only to have good quality tools on the site. I Barely have any time to
watch any racing even. But I did like the first couple of races of F1 this year. To all our customers in Brazil: I do not know what is going on between the USA and Brazil, or in Brazil with regards to mail. I can tell you that we have had confirmation from customers that packages are taking 3 plus months to arrive, but they are arriving. Some of that time is due the the US customs, not clearing the shipments in a timely manner, but we can do nothing once the packages are in the hands of the Postal service. Also, because most of you want a very low declared value on items, because of the duty Brazil customs like to charge, you cannot ask us to replace an item that goes missing with out financial consideration from yourselves. ************************************************************************************************** I do want to clarify a
point on ordering, especially as we are so busy; by all means phone in your
order, but we need you to confirm it in writing in the form of an email to
orders@macsmodeling.com, this will
prevent misplaced orders. Apparently, some of you cannot download the Excel Order form. Don't worry if you can't, just send your email order with what you want in the body of the email. One last note: If you
receive an email that says you owe xxxxxxJPY (an amount in Japanese Yen)
please pay in JPY, NOT US Dollars. It costs me money to change it to JPY. ************************************************** Model News
:
We have been shipping the "inlet manifolds" with operational throttle
slides for 1:12 Ford DFV engines AZMP DFV-1204
for the last week and still shipping them out. The masters for the vac-formed windscreens have been completed and the "bucks" now have to be produced. Also the 2 styles of rear wing masters, have been modified so molds can be made this weekend, the same for the wing uprights We are still working on price and release dates for the 4 wheel sets and brake sets for the 1:12 Tamiya kits. The New plan is the MP4/6 wheels first, followed by wheel and axle set for the Ferrari 312T4, which we did not announce before AZMW12006. A lot of casting has been going on trying to keep up and catch up with the current orders. Shortly there will be a 1:20 version of the M23 airbox, as used in 1975 and early 76.
:
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: THE
INFORMATION BELOW IS ONLY FOR MAC'S MODELING COMMUNITY, THIS IS NOT
INFORMATION FOR PUBLIC FORUMS!! I screwed up by not saying this,
but I now know I have to. DON'T DO IT!
Thank you! You should know the system now, but just in case you don't..........send your order via email to orders@macsmodeling.com with MFH in the subject line, and what you would like in the body of the email, or attach a completed order form. STUDIO 27: If you want anything from Studio 27. Send your order to orders@macsmodeling.com and put ST27 in the subject line and what you want in the body of the email. Well Mac's Modeling's relationship with them is growing nicely. I had a
meeting with Naoto Sakakibara, (the main representative
for them. He also worked for Rainbow 10 for 12 years prior to joining
Aoshima) in Los Angeles on Sunday 6th, over lunch.
:
I also asked Naoto about Beemax and the relationship with Aoshima. BEEMAX is
owned by a man that has a Casino in Macau, so has a lot of expendable funds,
he wanted to do something in models and contacted Aoshima. : Still no news yet. ********************************************
REFERENCE MATERIAL: You will notice I keep mentioning sending orders to orders@macsmodeling.com with different titles in the Subject line. I REALLY want you to follow these instructions, PLEASE! I have created "filters" in the orders@macsmodeling.com so the emails will go into the correct folder for Manufacturers etc. That way I know where to look for orders for different manufacturers, rather than having to go through every email to find your order. You can still use the order form, but most important is you put the Manufacturer in the subject line. If you have something you want from multiple Manufacturers, just put "Multiple Order" in the subject line, fill out and attach the Excel Order Form. If you cannot download the order form, just put what you want in the body of the email. I hope that is clear......................probably as mud. ;) Tameo and This Way Up are the exceptions: Because Tameo, on their website, have Tameo@macsmodeling.com as a way to contact me for customers, any Tameo items should be ordered there. And This Way Up orders should be sent to TWU@macsmodeling.com Thank you, ahead of time, for your efforts in doing this. ******************************************** If you do not want to receive these News Letters, please email me by reply and simple write "REMOVE me from your list".
