News letter Vol. 12, Issue 3 from Mac’s Modeling LLC 03/28/2016 The workshop has basic floor, walls and a skeleton ceiling, ready for the electrician to come in and run all the wiring necessary this week. Traded some granite work for that. :) Maybe this coming weekend I can close the roof up. It will then be a while before anything else can be done. I have spent all the money I had on Home Depot gift cards now. So not much else will happen until I earn some more money from Granite work.
My personal situation has still not really improved. I will get through it. **************************************************************************************************
I do want to emphasize a point on ordering, especially as we
are so busy; by all means phone in your order, but we need you to confirm it in
writing in the form of an email to orders@macsmodeling.com,
this will prevent misplaced orders.
One last note: If you receive an email that says you owe
xxxxxxJPY (an amount in Japanese Yen) please pay in JPY, NOT US
Dollars. It costs me money to change it to JPY. ************************************************** Model News
: It's
looking like the 1:12 DFV engines will retail at around $170.00. There is a lot
of outlay involved with getting these produced. So if you have not emailed me
about your interest in these, please do so, so I can come up with a production
plan. As stated before, Tameo will be producing the white metal parts and Photo
etch parts for us while MFH will be producing the resin parts, block, cylinder
blocks and cam heads. Also a curbside version of 1:20 scale Lotus 94T has been released under their "light" models: LK006 it retails at 18,000JPY and can be found on the Pre-order page Also, Racing Pictorial Vol. 50, has been announced for release in March. It covers 1975 Grand Prix, Part 1. If you do not have a subscription to these and you want a copy, please email your request now. They have also re-released some older kits which you will have seen in the email you received. These are very limited numbers, so if you want one, order NOW and I will get them reserved. You should know the system now, but just in case you don't..........send your order via email to orders@macsmodeling.com with MFH in the subject line, and what you would like in the body of the email, or attach a completed order form.
STUDIO 27: We
will be receiving some more of the Carbon decals for the McLaren MP4/30 and for
the Jordan 191 shortly. Check out the Pre-Order page for other items, and if there is something you want that will be released in the future, just send us an email with your pre-order.
As you are probably all aware now, the latest detail set
TD23161 for the 1:12 Tamiya McLaren MP4/6 is just
about ready to ship from China. If you have not pre-ordered yours for $75.00,
you still can, if you do it in the next 48 hours after that it will be retail
price of $85.00. efworks: A new kid on the block see the New Products Showcase. They are producing some 1:12 Wheels with tire warmers, rain tires with decals, items for dioramas and more. They offer customization of their items for your individual needs as well.
: We are now being told that the release of the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento will be at the end of March, the "Overseas edition" which is what we get, will include a clear body as extra that the Japanese market will not get. You can pre-order these now if you like by sending an email to orders@macsmodeling.com with Aoshima in the subject line and your order in the body of the email. If you want something else from them please email us. We are required to make a minimum order so please place orders for their products, any of them. ;) : What can I say..........the McLaren MP4/30 mid and early season have been released. We are still waiting on "fill-in" decals for these. We will have very limited Acu-Stion decals and parts available shortly.

REFERENCE MATERIAL: You will notice I keep mentioning sending orders to orders@macsmodeling.com with different titles in the Subject line. I REALLY want you to follow these instructions, PLEASE! I have created "filters" in the orders@macsmodeling.com so the emails will go into the correct folder for Manufacturers etc. That way I know where to look for orders for different manufacturers, rather than having to go through every email to find your order. You can still use the order form, but most important is you put the Manufacturer in the subject line. If you have something you want from multiple Manufacturers, just put "Multiple Order" in the subject line, fill out and attach the Excel Order Form. If you cannot download the order form, just put what you want in the body of the email. I hope that is clear......................probably as mud. ;) Tameo and This Way Up are the exceptions: Because Tameo, on their website, have Tameo@macsmodeling.com as a way to contact me for customers, any Tameo items should be ordered there. And This Way Up orders should be sent toTWU@macsmodeling.com Thank you, ahead of time, for your efforts in doing this. ******************************************** If you do not want to receive these News Letters, please email me by reply and simple write "REMOVE me from your list".
