News letter Vol. 12, Issue 3

The workshop has basic floor, walls and a skeleton ceiling, ready for the
electrician to come in and run all the wiring necessary this week. Traded some
granite work for that. :) Maybe this coming weekend I can close the roof up. It
will then be a while before anything else can be done. I have spent all the
money I had on Home Depot gift cards now. So not much else will happen until I
earn some more money from Granite work.
My personal situation has still not really improved. I will get through it.
There is a lot of orders ready to ship from various parts of the World so I am
going be just as busy as I have been.
I Thank you all for your patience through these times.
**************************************************************************************************
I do want to emphasize a point on ordering, especially as we
are so busy; by all means phone in your order, but we need you to confirm it in
writing in the form of an email to orders@macsmodeling.com,
this will prevent misplaced orders.
Apparently, some of you cannot download the Excel Order form. Don't worry if you
can't, just send your email order with what you want in the body of the email.
One last note: If you receive an email that says you owe
xxxxxxJPY (an amount in Japanese Yen) please pay in JPY, NOT US
Dollars. It costs me money to change it to JPY.
If you want to pay in US Dollars email me and I will give you an amount to pay
in US dollars

Model News
: It's
looking like the 1:12 DFV engines will retail at around $170.00. There is a lot
of outlay involved with getting these produced. So if you have not emailed me
about your interest in these, please do so, so I can come up with a production
plan. As stated before, Tameo will be producing the white metal parts and Photo
etch parts for us while MFH will be producing the resin parts, block, cylinder
blocks and cam heads.
Resin casting is still at a halt, but it's looking like I may be able to start
limited production next week. Machining has started up again, so more parts will
become available as the weeks go by.
: We
are finalizing this months order with MFH, so you should expect to see some
emails shortly, about your orders..
Also a curbside version of 1:20 scale Lotus 94T has been released under their
"light" models: LK006 it retails at 18,000JPY and can be found on the
Pre-order
page

release in March. It

attach a completed order form.

put ST27 in the subject line and what you want in the body of the email.

have in stock, let us know in the next 48 hours and you will get the same
discount as a pre-order.
efworks: A new kid on the
block see the New

rain tires with decals, items for dioramas and more. They offer customization of
their items for your individual needs as well.

Pre-order
page.
If you would like any Tamiya kits or parts not on the website, please send an
email to orders@macsmodeling.com put Tamiya
in the subject line and what you
would like in the body of the email.
If you would like any new releases, kits or anything else they offer that we do
not have, please send an email to orders@macsmodeling.com put Hasegawa
in the subject line and what you
would like in the body of the email.
If there is anything else you would like from Fujimi please send an email to orders@macsmodeling.com and
put Fujimi in the subject line and
what you would like in the body of the email.
The latest Tameo order will be arriving today. Unfortunately, none of the wheel
and tire sets are in it. I apparently ordered too many sets and they are now
getting more manufactured. They tell me that they will be using a different
company to manufacture the rims, which means the price will change from what is
shown on the website. They expect to have the new rims in the next 2 months.
There is still time to pre-order the release of their next
built model TMB036, Lotus 99T Senna, 1984 USGP. Please send
your email to Tameo@macsmodeling.com .
Thank you!
:
We are now being told that the release of the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento will be
at the end of March, the "Overseas edition" which is what we get, will include a
clear body as extra that the Japanese market will not get. You can pre-order
these now if you like by sending an email to orders@macsmodeling.com with
Aoshima in the subject line and your order in the body of the email. If you want
something else from them please email us. We are required to make a minimum
order so please place orders for their products, any of them. ;)
: What
can I say..........the McLaren MP4/30 mid and early season have been released.
We are still waiting on "fill-in" decals for these. We will have very
limited Acu-Stion decals and parts available shortly.

REFERENCE MATERIAL:
The new books from Stance and Speed will be arriving this week. We will not be
carrying a lot of these in stock, because we can have them "drop shipped" to you
from the publisher and save you a little on the total purchase price that way.
We are always adding more reference material. Check out the Ref
Material page If you have not had a look lately, have a good look through
the list, you just may find something you "must have". ;) If you have any
suggestions for material, let us know
You will notice I keep mentioning sending orders to orders@macsmodeling.com with
different titles in the Subject line. I REALLY
want you to follow these instructions, PLEASE!
I have created "filters" in the orders@macsmodeling.com so
the emails will go into the correct folder for Manufacturers etc. That way I
know where to look for orders for different manufacturers, rather than having to
go through every email to find your order. You can still use the order form, but most
important is you put the Manufacturer
in the subject line. If
you have something you want from multiple Manufacturers, just put "Multiple
Order" in the subject line, fill out and attach the Excel Order
Form. If you cannot download the order form, just
put what you want in the body of the email. I hope that is
clear......................probably as mud. ;)
Tameo and This Way Up are the exceptions: Because
Tameo, on their website, have Tameo@macsmodeling.com as
a way to contact me for customers, any Tameo items should be ordered there. And
This Way Up orders should be sent toTWU@macsmodeling.com
Thank you, ahead of time, for your efforts in doing this.
