Still working on a new website. All formats looked at so far will not do what I want.......Picky! Picky! Yes I am. :) So its looking more like it will still be quite manual, when it comes to check-out. We cannot do automatic check-out with 2 different currencies, and so far, it has also been difficult to have two currencies on the same web page. :( All this because "Front Page" is no longer supported by websites. Anyway, we are working on it.

This will be the last News Letter of 2015. As we move into 2016, I think that means we move into 10 years of Mac's Modeling as a retail store. Perhaps we will do something special for 2016! :)

For the new customers we have recently picked up........Welcome! Thank you! And I hope you stick around. Just so everyone knows......if there is ANY kit you would like that we don't carry, email us, we will be happy to try and get it for you.

 We will not be shipping any International Packages after December 11th. (with the exception of Canada) until January 4th 2016. This is to hopefully avoid any delays or losses over the Christmas period/rush. Domestic will still ship up to the 18th maybe even the 21st if its Priority Mail.

I do want to emphasize a point on ordering, especially as we are so busy; by all means phone in your order, but we need you to confirm it in writing in the form of an email to orders@macsmodeling.com, this will prevent misplaced orders.

Apparently, some of you cannot download the Excel Order form. Don't worry if you can't, just send your email order with what you want in the body of the email.

One last note: If you receive an email that says you owe xxxxxxJPY (an amount in Japanese Yen) please pay in JPY, NOT US Dollars. It costs me money to change it to JPY.
If you want to pay in US Dollars email me and I will give you an amount to pay in US dollars

Model News

: All work has stopped on all projects over the Christmas Holidays from now, and will resume in the New Year. There will still be design work done during that time. As will work on the new workshop.

: The 1:12 Porsche 917LH was a poor decision as a kit from my perspective, we did not sell a single one. However the Brough Superior motorcycle and the 427 Cobra have had much better response. Even now knowing that the Cobra is retailing at 70,000JPY Pre-orders will get it for 63,000JPY. Pre-order page. If you have not ordered one do it now! I should have the kits here before Christmas.

They also released a 1:24 version of the Lancia 037 in 5 versions, just for export, not the Japanese market. You can see these on the Pre-order page as well, if you want one now is the time.

Also Racing Pictorial Vol. 47, is being released this month. It covers 1973 Grand Prix, plus LeMans and Daytona 24 hours.  If you do not have a subscription to these and you want a copy, please email your request now.

You should know the system now, but just in case you don't..........send your order via email to orders@macsmodeling.com with MFH in the subject line, and what you would like in the body of the email, or attach a completed order form.

STUDIO 27: If you want anything from Studio 27. Send your order to orders@macsmodeling.com and put ST27 in the subject line and what you want in the body of the email.

 We have had two new orders arrive from Top Studio. The items shown in stock on the Top Studio page are current.

 Don't forget, the GIANT 1:4 scale Ducati Panigale and 1:8 scale Lamborghini Hurican was due out in October, now it looks like January. If you want one pre-order for a nice discount.

efworks: A new kid on the block see the New Products Showcase. They are producing some 1:12 Wheels with tire warmers, rain tires with decals, items for dioramas and more. They offer customization of their items for your individual needs as well.

  
 The re-release of the 1:12 Tyrrell 003, Monaco TAM12054, with new nose, may be here by December. If you want one please order now.  If you would like any Tamiya kits or parts not on the website, please send an email toorders@macsmodeling.com put Tamiya in the subject line and what you would like in the body of the email.

: December should see the release of the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, but its looking more like January. You can pre-order these now if you like by sending an email to orders@macsmodeling.com with Aoshima in the subject line and your order in the body of the email. If you want something else from them please email us. We are required to make a minimum order so please place orders for their products, any of them. ;)

: What can I say..........four kits due for release.........but when!!! Don't know.

We are always adding more reference material. Check out the Ref Material page  If you have not had a look lately, have a good look through the list, you just may find something you "must have". ;) If you have any suggestions for material, let us know

You will notice I keep mentioning sending orders to orders@macsmodeling.com with different titles in the Subject line. I REALLY want you to follow these instructions, PLEASE!

I have created "filters" in the orders@macsmodeling.com so the emails will go into the correct folder for Manufacturers etc. That way I know where to look for orders for different manufacturers, rather than having to go through every email to find your order. You can still use the order form, but most important is you put the Manufacturer in the subject line. If you have something you want from multiple Manufacturers, just put "Multiple Order" in the subject line, fill out and attach the Excel Order Form. If you cannot download the order form, just put what you want in the body of the email. I hope that is clear......................probably as mud. ;)

Tameo and This Way Up are the exceptions: Because Tameo, on their website, have Tameo@macsmodeling.com as a way to contact me for customers, any Tameo items should be ordered there. And This Way Up orders should be sent toTWU@macsmodeling.com
